In short: we do not sell your data, we have no user accounts, and you can read every page on this site without giving us anything.
What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get used and which codes people look for. This sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you are on. We do not use it to identify you personally. The analytics script is deferred, so it only loads once you interact with the page.
When you contact us
Our contact form collects the name, email address, subject and message you type in. We use them to reply and to act on what you told us (for example, retesting a code you reported as dead). We do not add you to a mailing list from that form.
When you tell us a code worked
If you tell us whether a code worked, we record only which code it was and whether it worked. That vote carries no name, email or IP address, so it cannot be traced back to you.
Stored in your browser
When you reveal a code, we briefly store that code in your browser's local storage so it can be shown to you on the tab that opens. It stays on your device, is cleared once shown, and is never sent to us.
Hosting and processors
The site runs on Cloudflare, and our database is hosted with Supabase. Both process data on our behalf as part of serving the site. Like nearly all web hosts, Cloudflare processes standard request information (such as IP addresses) to serve pages and block abuse.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not have user accounts, so we hold no passwords for visitors.
- We do not ask for payment details. Purchases happen on the store's own site, under their policies.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site still works without them. You can also ask us to delete anything you have sent us, such as a contact form message. Ask us and we will action it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Contact us and we will help.
Other sites
When you click through to a store, you leave Discount Pit and that store's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over what they collect. See our affiliate disclosure for how those links work.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
